The Arthur Griffin Foundation for Winchester was established by renowned nationally acclaimed photographer and Winchester resident, Arthur Griffin, to provide scholarships and grants to support the education of young visual artists in pursuit of a professional career in the visual arts and K-12 innovative art programs within the Winchester Public Schools Art Department.
“To be an artist is to believe in life” —Henry Moore
After a 24 year career in the Winchester Public Schools, I am continually amazed at the creativity of our young citizens. To be a part of an organization that fosters and mentors creative young people in the community is very rewarding. Further as a longtime resident of Winchester the beauty of this little town unfolds and continues to surprise me daily. It makes sense for me to work on the board of the Arthur Griffin Foundation.
